.Miss May ilenuerson open i weck s engagement at the Grand opera nouse, Monday evening. The following was clipped iroru the Port Iluron Daily ïiiues of Oct. 18; " The May Henderson dramatic company presented 'The Gambler's Wife1 at the City opera house on Monday Qigbt, with May Henderson as Bessie Fairfax. Miss Henderson is a bright, vivacious actress, with winseme ways and a most infectious laugh. In i'íict when her merry, musical langh was heard, the aiulience laughed in sympathy, and Miss Henderson found lierself at once in i'avor. W. L. Stewart, who played Alex. Fairfax, is a capable actor, and was liberally applauded. Edward Murrey, as Toni Flynn, was most original and amusing, and his singing received a hearty encoré. That the company thoroughly pleased the audience was shown by the very hearty applause they received, and they will doubtless have liberal patronage during the remainder of the year."
