There is at least one boy in this city who is overjoyed by the news of every funeral the services of which are to be held in the clmrch to which he is attached. He is cmly nine years old and is a very poor lad, the child of needy parents. He sings in the clmrch choir, and whenever the choir is called upon to sing at a f uneral he is paid the sum of one dollar l'or Iris service in it. Yesterday f urenoon he rnshed home to tel] his mamma that there wore to be two fuuerals in the aftemoon. He laughed beyond nieasure as he shouted, "Good news, mam! two funerals!" He dauced and was filled with bliss over the prospect. He had not snng at a funeral for nearly a week, and had been disconsolate. His mother, too, was happy over the news, for she needed money and ber husband was out of work.
