{The stove factory discharged some of the workmen last Monday. The first quarterly meeting of the year will be observed at the M. K. church on Christmas day. The "Comrades" was rendered last Friday and Saturday nights at the town hall by the Chelsea Dramatic club to good houses. A car load of hay and large quantities of holiday poultry were loaded and shipped from here, amoug other things, this week. Harriet Betts, an old resident of sima., died last Monday at the residence of her brother, Henry Stedman, of a complication of diseases. She was an invalid many years and leath was a relief. She was 63 'ears old and was a good, consistent Christian woman. Guy Bros.' minstrels are booked fo.r the town hall, Saturday night. The Congregational Church S ciety of Christian Kndeavor gave an entertainment at the towrMiall, Wednesday night, which was well attended. The market continĂșes quiet, and little moving since the wet weather set in: Wheat, 68 ets.; rye, 49 ets. ; oats, 34 ets.; barley, $1.15; clover seed, 6.75 ; dressed pork, $6.25; chickens, 7 ets.; eggs, 20 ets.; butter, 20 ets. Ghristmas entertainments are being prepared by all the churches, for the children. L. D. Loomis and family are about moving to jackson. Frank and Edvvard McNamara are spending this week with friends and relatives in this place.
