lOOTIOIAXl COONCIL Cha.MBER, ( Asn Arboh, Jan. 2, 1893. ) Regular session. The council was ealled to order by the president, Hou. Mortimer E. Cooley. Koll called. Quorum present. Absent - Aid. Wines. Schairer, Fillmore, Snow, O'Mara, Kitson. - 6. The journal of the last session was approved. PETrnosrs and cojimunicatjoxs. To the Common Council: We the Board of Public Works, respeetfully submit the following bids for street signs tor tbe city of Ann Arbor, witb the following recommeiidution. The bids were fourid as follows: Geo. A. Boylan, wood signs, 12 cents; tin, 10 ceuts each. Charles V. Staebler, wood signs, 12 cents each, or $11.00 per 100 signs. E. A. Edmuuds, wood signs, at $11.00 per 100. J. Armstrong & Co., wood signs, at $13.00 per 100. William Ilerz, wood or tin signs, at $11.00 per 100. One bid was rejected for being insufficient. We would recommend that the bid of William Ilerz be accepted for street signs, the same to be optiqnal with the board of public works in selecting wood or tin. We would further recommend this bid, as the sign submitted is live inches wide instead of four, which, in the opinión of this board, is a Díe lo uie iour-mcn, ana uesiues, m this bid, the sign on tin is to have one coat of red lead and two of vhite lead.
