Mr. J. Jones is visiting friends in Fowlerville. John Howard was a Pinckney visitor, Saturday. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McComb, a son. E. Howard spent several days of the past week in Howell. H. Simms, of Podunk, spent Sunday with his daughter here. Will Eagles, of Detroit, is spending a few days with relatives. James Brogan spent New Year's with his parents in Pinckney. Miss Gertie Carpenter was the guest of her friend in the village. Miss Swick is here as the gue.st of her many friends for a short time. Mrs. G. Sigler, of Pinckney, was with relatives the last of the week. Ray Parsons, who has been quite sick for some time, is slowly recoverng. E. H. Carpenter, of Petoskey, is spending a few days at his old ïome. Miss Cynthia Carpenter entertained her friends the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. P. Lavey enterained friends one day the past week. H. J. Rogers and wife are visitng relatives in New York for a few weeks. Miss Sarah Taylor will return to ïer school in Ann Arbor next Wednesday. Miss Dottie Howard has returned ïome after a six months' stay at Tleming. Farmers of this vicinity are busy ïarvesting their ice for the coming summer. Mr. and Mrs. O. Vaughn had the pleasureof entertainingfriends from abroad the past week. Misses Eva Hill and Tressa Pidd were guests of Miss Myrta Taylor two days the past week. Will Taylor and mother and sister were in Pettysville, Monday, to see their cousin, who is quite sick. Lee Warren, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Warren, died with pneumonia, last Monday, and was buried Wednesday. John Wall, of Sandwich, Out., is visiting his parents during his vacation, but will return in a few days to his school. R. Flintoft, of Emery, accompanied by his sister, Miss Rose, and little niece, spent Sunday with their sister, Mrs. A. Taylor.
