Mr. Smith and friend spent Sunday here. Peter Harris spent Friday with his cousins here. W. Canfield, of Sylvan, was with friends on Friday. Mr. Haab spent Sunday with relatives near Chelsea. Fred S. Alley spent the past week with relatives in Detroit. E. S. Prudden, of Chelsea, called on friends on Thursday. Miss Tina Holzaurhasbeen spending the week with her parents. James McCabe spent Saturday with his brother in Ann Arbor. Miss Bessie Sweetman entertained friends from Pinckney, Sunday. YV'ill Harris, of Putnam, was with friends here one day the past week. Some Ann Arbor people were at the lakes, fishing, the past week. Mr. Larkin, of Pettysville, spent the last of the week with his sister. Mr. and Mrs. Will Valentine, of Hamburg, spent Sunday with her parents. Frank Smith, of Pinckney, was here on business several days the past week. T. McCotnb and family are entertainingMrs. Schermerhorn and son, from Ohio. Miss Amelia Clark, of SilverLake, was the guest of friends one day the past week. Francis Lavey and a lady friend spent Sunday with his uncle and family here. The Misses Connor were guests of their brother in the village the first of the week. James E. Eagan will soon resign his position as principal in our village schools. James Story, who has been sick for some time with pneumonĂ­a, is slowly recovering. Mrs. Wm. Stevens will leave in a few days for California and Texas to visit her daughters. J. Pidd and family and C. Carpenter and family spent Sunday with Scio relatives. Married in Dexter village, Jan. 8, 1893, Miss Etta Day to Mr. Jay Keith. Both of the young people are well known in this vicinity.
