James Story, of Hudson, is seriously sick with pneumonia. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Omar Moore, a son, Wednesday, January nth. There is to be a grand hop at the Dexter opera house, Friday evening, January 20, to which all are invited. A. Schermerhprn, who has been visiting with his cousin here, takes a position as clerk with Mr. Thompson, of Pinckney. Henry Kranshaar, of St. Paul, Minn., returned home after a short visit with his father, who has been quite sick for some time. Mr. Michael Reid, who was well known here, died last week, and was buried Saturday. The funeral service was held at the St. Joseph's church. August Kranshaar, of California, who was visiting with his parents here a few days last week, left for New York city, where he intends to dispose of his furs which he brought from California, among which were the skins of black bears, etc.
