R. C. Glenn and Alfred Glen are spending the winter in Florida Alfred has an orange grove there near Cold Springs, and is pickin his oranges now. Three new barns will go up nea here in the early spring months. Charley Hudson has returnec from Toledo to help his father on the farm. A lady at the lake has a few young roosters and it is estimated about 500 miles have been traveled by Chelsea buyers to secure them. Xo sale has yet been eft'ected. James Gaunt has sold the sawing timber from his lots at Bruin lake for$537. A few more days and it will be time to sow clover seed, and commence the spring work on the farm. Mr. W. E. Stevenson and his oldest daughter started Tuesday for California, by way of Dakota, to be absent severnl weeks. E. L. Glenn and family visited Mr. and Mrs. John Webb last week. Mr. G. Parmer filled the pulpit here, last Sunday, in place of Rev. England, called to other labor. Mr. W. E. Stevenson has returned from a trip to New York city, where he visited relatives and friends. Mrs. Jas. Cook is now fast recovering from her severe sickness. At one time her recovery was very doubtful. Dr. Seglar, of Pinckney, attended her. H. M. Twamley, in company with his daughter, is visiting at I-eslie, Mich. In the Lyceum Wednesday evening a new feature was introduced. Subjects were given out for ten minute talks by the one drawingthe question. The young married folks about here are beginning to hustle for places for the summer campaign.
