The S. A. !■;. fraternity will begin the erection of a $12,000 fraternity building this spring, and it is probable that several members of national reputation will be present at the dedicatory exercises. The house will be situated on two lots in Hamilton Park, on S. State street, about as far from the campus as the Sigma Phi house. The building will have accommodations for 26 men and will be richly furnished, including' padded and billiard rooms. A fine stable is also proposed. Hon. Wm. L. Wilson, of Virginia, who is to lecture here April 7 in the S. L. A. course, is an S. A. E. man, and will be asked to conduct the dedication exercises at that time. An invitation will be extended to Hon. William McKinley, of Ohio, also an S. A. E. man. Michigan or Iota Beta chapter, was founded here in '89, and soon increased in membership from 7 to 22. It has secured a house in afar shorter time than other U. of M. fraternities. Among the other prominent members of this fraternity are the chairmen of three of last summer's national conventions; also Mr. Lamar, late chief justice of the supreme court.
