To the Hou., the Common Couucil: A large numher of tax-payers, especially the real estáte tax-payers, have not yet paid their taxes Many of them are exfiecting the raoney 10 pay taxes within a few days. So that I am compelled to ask you for the usual extensión of time for the collection of taxes during February. Yours truly, S. W. BEAKE. City Treasurer. Aid. Martin moved that the request of S. W. Beakes, City Treasurer, be granted, and that the time of collecting of taxes be extended up to and including Feb. 28, 1893. Adopted by unanimous vote. By Alderman Ferguson: Remlvd, That the mayor and city clerk be and they are hereby ordered and directed to draw a warrant on the University Hospital Aid Bond Fund for three thousañds, seven hundred and twenty dollars ($3,000 principal and $720 interest due.) payable to Harrison Soule, Treasurer of üniversity of Michigan, upou the presentation for cancellation to thf reasurer of the bonds and coupons due on February 1, 1893. Adopted as follows : Yeas- Aids. Wines. Schairer. Martin. Herz, Ferguson, O'Mara, Eehberg, Kitson, l'rettymau, Pres. Cooley.- 10. Nays - None. By Aldermau Martin : Resolved, That the sim of six hundred and fty dollars ($650.00) be and ís hereby transerred f rom the Water Fund to the Street 'und. Adopted as follov, - : Yeas- Aids. Winos.
