Death Of Hon. E. P. Harper

Ilon. Egbert P. Ilarper diecl at his home in Saline last Friday. He had been UI, but on Friday morning had so far recovered as to ask for a hearty breakfast. When it was taken to him, he was found dead. Mr. Ilarper was born in Wayne county, New York, October24, 1832, and had resided in Michigan for nearly sixty years. For flf teen years he was supervisor of Lodi township. He served two tenns in the state legislature in 1885 and 1887. He owned a fine farm in Lodi, and was an excellent farmer. Last year he built a resideóce in Saline village and removed to it just a few months before his death. Ile was a flne man, level headed, courteous in his manner, kind to everyone, a good Democrat, and had many friends throughout the county.
