Miss L. N. Becker, of Saginaw, was here on Monday about L. O. T. M. business. W. W. Williams, of Eaton Rapids, spent last "Saturday and Sunday among relatives about here. John Laing, of Detroit, bought pelts and furs of the dealers here on Wednesday. They are low this winter. The farmers report wheat being badly damaged by the ice, caused by the cold wave of Tuesday and Wednesday. The school entertainment at the town hall last Friday night was well attended, and gave good satisfaction to all present. The donation, last week, for Rev. O. C. Bailey amounted to over $100, in spite of the very bad night. It speaks well for Mr. Bailey. Revival meetings are in progress at the M. E. church this week. Presiding Eider L. P. Davis is expected to assist in them next week. The Chelsea Dramatic Company will reproduce the drama entitled, "Bound by an Oath" at the town hall on Friday and Saturday nights of this week. Colds are very prevalent this week as a result of the sudden changes in temperature the first part of it. The general health of the people here is much better than one year ago. The rnarket has been steady the past week and arrivals on the increase. Wheat stands at 68c, for red or white; rye, 5Sc;barley, L1.18; ats, 3SC; beans, $1.50; clover seed, .$8; dressed pork, $9; chickens, 8c per pound; butter, 22c; eggs, scarce and wanted at 28c. Miss Anna Cartón, of Flint, was here several days the first of this veek and organized a lodge of L. O. T. M., on Tuesday, with 37 members. The officers elected were as fojlows: L. C, Mrs. T.
