The above military comedy drama wijl be presentad at the Opera House, Thursday, March 16th. The story of the play runs through the late war and deals with the escape of Union oflicers from the celebrated LibbyPrison. lts first production at the Fourteenth Street Theatre, New York, was stamped with success there not being one adverse criticism by the New York papers. v The scène in the third act when the Union prisoners escape from Libby Prison by means of an underground tunnel is an exciting and realistic representation. The tapping of the militaiy telegraph wires, sendinga dispatch to army headquarters carries one right to thescene of action. The bugle cali, prancing steeds, marching and counter-marching of squads of soldiers are all given with correctness and accuracy of detail. The sensation is relieved by a pretty love story which runs through the play and there is plenty of comedy. The cast is a carefully selected one, every character being taken by a competent person. In every particular it will be given as at its first production.
