Theatre-goers and lovers of refined merriment of the very highest order o excellence will hail witli delight the announcement that Charles Frohmai will present at Grand opera house 01 next Wednesday evening, that phe nomenally successful comedy farce (Gloriana), which enjoyed a run of nearly 150 nights in New York, 300 in Paris, and 250 in Londoii. Charles Frohiiian has probablv selected one of the stroneest comedy companies that he has ever dispatehec in this direction, including Georee W Barnum Jaeques Martin, John Allen, Charles Drake, William Noi-ris Euirenè F Eberle Charles E. Warren; MiZl fcleanor Mer-on, Helen Holland, Tillie Barnum. (Gloriana) is a farce-comedy tunny in its complications, situations and dialogue. The title is obtained trom the name of a vivacious widow narned "Gloriana Lovering," and her infatuation tor "Leopold Fritz-Jocelyn." a menaber of the English diplomatic service, who has fallen in love with "Jessie Chadwick," the innocent young daughter of "Timothv Chadwick, a wealthy farmer of Birmingham. "Gloriana" follows him and reiusestogivehimiip, even when told that he is a poor valet. She has letters from "Leopold" which he is anxious "Jessie" should not see. The most hilanous complications ensue and the un is incessant until the verv close of the play. when everything is set right
