A New Warden
Lansi.vg, March 4.- The state board of prison inspectors yesterday noon appointed William Charab e r a i n, of Thr e e 0 a k s, warden of the Jackson state prison to succeed (eorge N. D a v i s. M r. ChamberUiin is a descendant of John Koge rs, the martyr, and was born at Pembroke, N. H., in 1834, although his Hfe since boyhood has been spent in JlichifĂan. He has served two terms in the state house of represenlatives and one terra in the senate and for over twenty ycars was county superintendent of the poor. He has served on the prison board and is therefore in a position to make a srood w arden.
