It is not unusual to hear coinplaints tliat the Turkish batli has induced considgrable depression, or even eshaustion, lasting perhaps several days, but the cause of this is that proper precautiona have not been taken by the bather. The baths must be adapted to the strength of the patiƫnt. The bather should not stay too long in the hot chamber, and the bracing process should be applied only a few seconds with water not very cold.
