Dr. William L. Moore, demonstrator of nervous diseases and electrotherapeutics, has resigned his position here to accept a cali to the Hawaiian Islands, as head surgeon on a large sugar plantation. He has been connected with the University as student and instructor for the past seven years. He has proved himself a conscientious and competent instructor, and it is with regret that the professors and students of the medical department learn óf his resignation. The position is a very lucrative one, and in many respects a desirable one. The doctor has Deen making farewell calis for the past week, and feceiving complimentary banquets from several of the citizens of Ann Arbor. He goes to. his home in Grand Rapids today, and will sail from San Francisco April 12, on the steamer Australia. He will take up his residence at Hilo. Dr. W. A. MacGugan, class of '92, is filling the vacancy occasioned by the resignation.
