Skirt dancing is ciuite the rage. Mrs. Stephen Andrus is seriously il!. There are a few cases of measles in town. Mr. J. C. Rouse is liaving bis house painted. Mrs. Eldridge returned from her visiting tour, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Heek have returned from their Tecumseh visit. Mr. A. Newcomb is building a new house on West Main street. Mrs. Wallace is improving some of her houses on County street. Mrs. Blinn, of Stony Creek, visited Milan friends last week. Mr. and Mrs. Sawyer, of Ann Arbor, gave Milan a cali last week. Mrs. Pullen entertained guests from Romulus the first of the week. Mr. Geo. Leonard, of New York, is visiting Milan relatives for a few days. Mr. Chas. Sill, of Detroit, is the guest of his son, Homer, for a few days. Miss Grace Jenkins, of Flint, was the guest of John Whitmarsh, last week. The W. C. T. U. will meet at the Presbyterian church, Friday afternoon. Married, Mr. Arthur Delaforce, of Milan, and Miss French, of Ishpeming, April 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hoyt, of Saline, are spending a few days with their daughter, Mrs. H. Sill. There is a new tailoring house on River street, under the name of H. C. Thibodan and M. F. Desmarais. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bennet, of Ana Arbor, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse, last week. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Watts, of Ann Arbor, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Whitmarsh, Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. F. Trussell have moved from Mrs. Simmon's house into Mrs. F. Davenports house on First street. Mrs. Wilkinson, of Vernon, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Minto, for a couple of weeks, left for her home, Saturday. Married, April 5, at the residents of the bride's parents, at York. Mr. W. P. Lamkins, of Milan, and Mrs. H. R. Sanford, by Rev. J. O. Heek. Mrs. W. E. Sprague and son, of Chicago, who have been the guests of G. R. Williams and faniily for a few weeks, left for Detroit, Wednesday. The scarlet fever quarantine was lifted last Saturday. Services were held in the churches Sunday, and school opened Monday with a good attendance.
