.Miss Nettie Wood is in Chelsea for a few weeks. Alfred Glenn has returneci home f rom the sunny south. Miss Gertrude Webb, of Unadilla, is visiting her aunt at this place. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Isham spent Sunday at Wm. Wood 's and attended church. The young people surprised Mr. and Mrs, George Webb, Wednesday night, by a cali upon them. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Twamley spent Sunday with relatives in Dexter. Mrs. Twamley's mother is very sick. Edd Mann, living at R. S. Whalain's, caught a pickerel last week which weighed eleven and one-half pounds. Many acres will be planted to early potatoes this spring in the hope of a big price on account of of the scarcity of the oid erop. Burt Hadley left Mr. F. A. Burkhart last Wednesday night for parts unknown. He had hired there for the summer at $19 per month and worked one month. Anyone returning him will be suitably rewarded, by his best girl. Bring him in either boxed or loose or sled length. Description, about six foot long and two feet wide. No spots on him or flies either. Sound in all his limbs and a good goer, and gone.
