We hope that the project for erecting a building for the School of Musicwill be pushed to completion. It would greatly aid the growth of the school, a growth, which, if properly fostered, will soon make the School of Music, second only to the University in building up the city of Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is an educational center and there is no reason why its conservatory of music should not be famed throughout the land. President Clarkson, of the lague of republican clubs, in his address to the league last AVednesday said: "The democracy made up of old men never could defeat republicanism, but the danger republicans have to face nowisa democrat party made up of young men." That is the danger. The wide awake young men of today are democrats. They are democrats, because the democratie party has the best side of the live issues of today. The republican party is living in its past, its voters are voting that ticket largely from habit. It is hard for old men to realize that the past has settled old issues, that the present brings forward new ones. But the young voter is not to be deluded by past victories, what he wants to know is what party best represents his views on the issues of the present.
