A Steamer Stranded

Detroit, May 8. - The other night when the steamer J. Pridgeon, Jr. , was coming up Lake Erie, the captain turned the boat over to the mate and went to bed. An hour afterward the steamcr was stranded on the beach. The survey to the Pridgeon'B damages here Monday showed that it will take $25,121 for repairs. This is exclusive of the wrecking expenses, which will be Í5.000 or Si.üUO more.
