For Killing His Father

PosTlAC, May 9. - Previous to December 29, 1892, there lived in a rural home in Novi. Oakland county, Sumner Bathrick, his wife and one son, Will Bathrick. The evening of the 29th a quarrel occurred between the father and son, resulting in the of the father by the boy. The trial of the youthful patricide opened here Monday. Thedefense will admit the killing1 and will attempt to acquit or modify the verdict by proving the passionate temper of the dead father. The mother stands by her son.
