Akbor Hive, No. 113- Meets on Tucsday evenings at 7:liO o'clock in the hall of Arbor Tent There are Si 2 tents of the Maccabees. The Lady Maccabees number 12,500 in Michigan. There are 46,960 members of the Great Camp of Michigan. The life benefits in force in the Supreme tent amount to $67,004,000. There have been 298 death claims paid in the last ten years, by the Supreme tent, amounting to $559, 071.50. There are 39,828 Maccabees who were members of the Supreme tent December 31, 1892, an. increase of 22,404 in two years. ARBOR TENT. One initiation last Friday night. AVe have a candidate ready for this evening. Record Keeper Lutzhas returned fjom Chicago. Sir Knight F. E. Mills, of the Michigan Legislature, was with us at the last review. A large number of visiting Knights from Johnson and Leiand tents were with us last Friday evening. The Oriental was not conferred last Friday, as aiyiounced, owing to the absence of the Grand Oriënt. Arbor tent will decórate the graves of its deceased members with flowers on "Anniversary Day," June n. At the last review an invitation was received from Rev. Henry Tatlock to attend the Episcopal church on June n. The invitation was heartily accepted. There are members who never look at the "Michigan Maccabee," further than the first line on the first page. Better read it through, there is much inside of value. It has been decided to celébrate the anniversary by a banquet, at which some of the "big bees" will deliver addresses. As yet, the exact date has not been set, but it will doubtless be within a day or two of the nth, that being on Sunday. Ann Arbor has long been known to have a "Maccabee Hill," but not until recently did it have "Maccabee Valley. " In the southern part of the city a goodly number of "bees" have settled in a group and the locality has been dubbed "Maccabee Valley." JOHNSON TENT. Johnson tent did not meet this week. Several members came to the hall Monday evening and built a wardrobe for the new paraphernalia. ARBOR HIVE. The Ladies are now making fancy aprons for the fair which they are to hold. One new name and one by card were elected to membership last Tuesday evening. The Hive fair will be held in September, and judging from the interest manifested, it will be a grand event. The date of the May party has been changed from May 16 to May 23, owing to the number of other attractions on that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Schrater, both Maccabees, celebrated their "tin" wedding on Wednesday evening. A large number of "bees" assisted them in the celebration and presents were very numerous. They have the very best wishes of those present.
