A new thing in the surgical world is a curious brass button designed by a surgeon for the purpose of joining together two ends of an intestino that has been ent. The button consists of two parta into which an end of the intestino is f astened. When the two parts are pressed together between the thumb and forefinger, they are caught by a spring and held in place.
