Jack.so.v, May 14. - uñarles H. Pnce, a seven-year convict, sent from Detroit September 20, 1890, for forgery, made the cleverest escape from the prison within the history of the institution. Price was engaged in packing snacks in boxes for shipment to Australia. He left out half of one lot. made a false top to the box, which he fastened by means of wooden buttons on the inside, and had himself carted to the car platform outside the prison. When the coast was clear he opened the box and escaped. lie had made two other attempts and was caught in the act. Price is wanted in Cincinnati for a diamond robbery, also in St. Louis, Mo. Hifi real name is Tiller, and he resides at Louisville, Ky. He is 5 feet %li inches tall, weighs 185 pounds and has a light complexion. The customary reward of f50 is offered for his capture.
