The Michigan Central yesterday started to build a spur track across the north end of Fourth avenue to reach their coal sheds without asking the permission of the city. Nelson Sutherland, the street commissioner, at once arrested John Howird, the assistant road master of the Central and brought him up to the ia.il, in which he remained half an :iour until he could be brought be:ore Jirstice Pond. The arrest was }uickly made, Howard only asking :he dozen men he had engaged in juilding the track if they were going :o see him dragged off to jail in ;hat manner. The arrest was made mder the city ordinance for ob.tructing the streets and the trial ,vas set down for next Thursday. Ehe part of the spur track built was :orn up.
