At the regular meeting of the school board held Tuesday evening, Trustees Mack, Wheedon, Bach, Scott, Sheehan, Gruner and Smith were present. Bills to the amount of $251.70 were reported and allowed. The committee on teachers and text books made thcir report as follows, which was accepted. That the resignation of Miss Alice Hunt, as teacher of drawing, be ac'cepted, and that the committee receive further time before making a recommendation to fill the vacancy. That Prof. Jabez Montgomery have charge of botany and physiology in addition to what he now teaches. That six microscopes, with a case for their storage, be purchased. That Miss L. Conrad be employed as assistant in botany at a pro. rata. salary of $600 a year. That 3500 be appropriated to fit up the chemical laboratory. That Miss Gertrude Breede be appointed teacher of French, etc, at a salary of $600 per year.
