Under the law passed by the last legislature a bounty wilí only be paid on sparrows killed between the ïst of November and the ist of April. The act is as follows: Section i. The People of State of Michigan enact, That every person being an inhabitant of this State, who shall kill during the months of November, December, January, ?ebuary and March, an English parrow, in any organized township, village or city in this State, shall be ntitled to receive a bounty for each parrow thus killed, to be allowed nd paid in the manner hereinafter Drovided. Section 2. Every person applyng for such bounty shall within aid months take such sparrows in ots not less than ten, to the clerk of he township, village or city, within which such sparrows shall have been cilled "and shall thereupon make atli that such sparrows were killed uring the aforesaid months menioned in Section one of this Act, nd at no other time." Said clerk shall thereupon decide upon such application, and if satisfied of the correctness of such claim, hall issue a certifícate stating the mount of bounty to which such pplicant is entitled and deliver the ame to said applicant and destroy uch sparrows.
