A party of Ann Arbor peoplé are t the lakes. Omar Moore and family spent unday here. Mr. and Mrs. Sly spent Sunday n the village. Alfred Lavey was in Chelsea on )usiness, Friday. Mr. Henry visited his many Pinckey friends Friday. R. Lavey spent two days the past week in Pinckney. Mrs. Lewis Boyden visited friends ïere on Thursday. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Jobson, a on, July 18, 1893. John Harris, of Pinckney, was ïere on Wednesday. F. S. Alley and wife visited here ie first of the week. W. Taylor attended the Stockridge races this week. Miss Anno Stroh is spending sevral days in this place. Mrs. E. A. Butler is entertaining er friend from Detroit. Miss Helen Clark, of Putnam, isited here on Tuesday. Mrs. Kimball visited in Ann Ar)or and Scio last week. A. Taylor and friend spent Sunday with Chelsea friends. Miss Kate Uoberts entertained riends the last of the week. C. Sykes, of Pinckney, made us a pleasant cali, AVednesday. D. Quish has been entertaining his brother for several days. Mrs. P. Seper and daughter were Ann Arbor visitors Monday. Mr. McDonald, of Hamburg, was vith friends ón Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Gallagher enertained friends on Sunday. Burt Carpenter leaves soon for he northern part of the state. James Rowe and wife, of Podunk, pent Sunday with friends here. Mrs. Vernam entertained her most intímate friend on Sunday. P. Seper and wife visited friends n Hamburg the first of the week. Mrs. Fred Nordman, of Lima, isited Mrs. C. Carpenter, Friday. Mr. Smith and Miss French spent unday with her sister in Webster. C. Lavey and family entertained number of their friends, Sunday. Miss Doratha Lee is spending a ew days with friends at the lakes. Mr. H. Hall and wife and Miss Bell spent Sunday with friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carpenter ntertaineda numberof their friends. Mrs. F. Hall has been entertainng her daughter from Los Angeles, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. M. Cook are at heir cottage on Base lake for a few !ays. Mrs. T. J. Ritter left for her new home last Thursday in Wadsworth, Ohio. O. A. Vaughn and family visited elatives in Webster the first of the week. E. Stanton and wife, of Webster, visited his sister the first of the week. M. Andrews entertained a number of friends from Ann Arbor on Sunday. Miss Cynthia Carpenter and Miss Maud Hooker spent Thursday in Webster. Mrs. Schoen and son, of Freedom, spent Sunday with her son and family here. T. J. Holmes, of Iowa, has been with his many friends here the past few days. Miss Maggie Fleming spent several days the past week with friends in Detroit. The grasshoppers are doing considerable damage to the oats and to other crops. Mr. and Mrs. Mclntee, of Pinckney, called on friends here the first of the week. Mrs. J. Pidd and Mrs. C. Carpenter and friend spent Thursday n Hamburg. Miss Nellie Soulier was the guest of friends in Detroit several days the past week. Mrs. Newkirk and daughter, Miss Nellie, spent Saturday with her father in Birkett. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, of Saginaw, were here to attend her brother's funeral. Messrs. Millen and Clancy, of Ann Arbor, are enjoying the fresh breezes at the lakes. C. L. Sigler, of Pinckney, accompanied by two lady friends visited these parts on Monday. Miss Kate Lockhardt, of Ann Ar bor, is visiting her sister Mrs. C Schoen, for a few weeks. Wm. Clay sails Saturday for hi home in Yorkshire, England, afte a five weeks' visit with friends here A number from this place attend ed the races at Detroit last week also quite a number attended the races at Stockbridge this week. Mrs. Wbeeler, of Putnam, was called here on Sunday on account of the serious illness of her sister. There were no services held at the Congregational church last Sunday on account of not having a pastor. Mrs. C. Seper and daughter, Miss Blanche, called on a number of their friends in the country last Monday.
