Alpena, July 23. - Jacobs, Fuhrmann, Vogler and Repke, who were convicted of the murder of Albert Molitor, received their sentence Saturday. When asked by Judge Kelley if they had to say, all of the prisoners expressed themselves as being not guilty. Repke was the only one of the four who broke down. The judge then sentenced them to imprisonment for life at hard labor at Jaekson prison. Stephen Reiger, the last of the men to be tried for participation in the crime, was acquitted after a trial lasting three days. The verdict gave general satisfaction to everyone, as there is no doubt that Reiger was forced to go with the murderers. The cases in all have cost about $8,000. This Alpena county will have to stand until Presque Isle is able to pay it back, which may be many years.
