Jackson left for a delightful trip down the St. Lawrence, last week. Adam Meuth and daughter Ella leave tomorrow for a stay in Milwaukee and Chicago. Miss Lizzie Covert left Monday evening for a three weeks' visit with friends in Chicago and also to visit the Fair. Sam Binder and Henry Stabler, who have been visiting relatives here, returned to Butte, Montana, yesterday. Misses Carrie and Emma Weitbrecht, of Howell, spent Sunday with Lydia Weitbrecht, on W. Fourth street. Michael Staebler and family, Charles H. Jones and family, and Mrs. Earl Ware and family are camping at Portage Lake. Miss Carrie Heiier returned to her home in Jackson, Wednesday, after a three weeks' visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jno. O. Jenkins. Miss Mary A. Dickey, of Marshall, was in the city yesterday. She is on her way to Germany, where she will spend the coming year. Miss Lydia Stevenson, who has been yisiting Miss Alice Walker on Hill street for the past week, has returned to her home in Detroit. Miss Amelia Schleede and Miss Emma Kemper leave for Chicago tomorrow, stopping at Niles anc Kalamazoo on their return from the fair. M. M. Steffy, who is meeting with great success as an agent for the Encyclopedia Britannica, was home from Traverse City over Sun day. Prof. and Mrs. A. A. Stanley and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Flem ming Carrow, and Dr. and Mrs. P C. Freer are camping tiear Charle voix. Miss Kittie Smith, of Ann Arbo town, and her friend, Miss Ella McDonald, of Whitmore Lake, who have been visiting friends in Detroit, are expected home on Saturday. William Huddy, of Liskerd, England, and James B. Huddy, of London, England, after an extended trip through Philadelphia, Washington, D. C, and Chicago, spent few days with their relatives, Joh Huddy and family, on Geddes ave. and Mrs. Mary Hicks and daughter on South Twelfth street. On thei return home they will visit Niagar Falls, and will sail for England nex Wednesday by the Anchor line.
