The well known woman attorney, Vlrs. Mary Collins Whiting, has jeen sued in the circuit court for $10,000 damage by Benjamin TVlcGraw, her brother-in-law. The declaration sets forth the cause of action as follows: " For that whereas, the said defendant, contriving and wrongfuliy, wickedly and unjustly intending to njure the said plaintiff, and to deDrive him of the comfort, fellowship, society, aid and assistance of Abi McGraw, wife of said plaintiff, and to aliĆ©nate and destroy her affection for him, the said plaintiff, :o wit, on the fourteenth day of February, 1890, and on divers other days and times between that day and the date ef the commencement of this suit, at Ypsilanti, in said county, unlawfully, wrongfuliy and unjustly enticed, persuaded and srocured the said Abi McGraw, so :hen being the lawful wife of the said plaintiff, to depart from the home of said plaintiff, by means of which said enticement, persuasiĆ³n and procurement, and for no other reason whatever, the said Abi McGraw then and there departed from the home of said plaintiff, and hath remained and continued absent from such home for a long space of time," etc. The case will prove an interesting one, largely from the personality of the defendant.
