New York, Aug. 1. - The programma of the eighth annual convention of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew to be held in Detroit, Mich., September 14 to 17 inclusive has been announced at the executiv offices of the organization in this city. The brotherhood of St. Andrew is connected with the Protestant Episcopal church and is practically composed of young laymen. It has 850 district ehapters in the United States and Canada, with a membership of more than 10,000. It is expected that about 700 delegates will attend the Detroit conrention and that every section of the country will be represented. Sessions of the conTention will be held in St. John's church. Rt. Rev. Thomas F. Davies, D. D. , bishop of Michigan, will preside and Rt. Rev. W. E. McLaren, D. D., bishop of Chicag-o, will deliver the charge to the brotherhood. Among the other speakers will be: Rt Rev. Henry C. Potter. D. D., bishop ol New York; Rt. Rev. Hugh Millsr Thompson, D. D. , bishop of Mississippi: Rt. Rev. Thomas F. Gailor, D. D., coadjutor bishop of Tenuessee; H. S. McDonald, Brockville, Ont; W. H. Bonlface, Peoría, 111. ; Silas McBee, Lincolnton, N. C; George IC Shurtleft, Denver. Col.: A. M. Crane, Chicago; James P. Barrison, Danrille, Va.; Rev. John Fulton. Philadelphía; S. A. Haine, Indianapolis, Ind. ; Charles E. Shoemaker. Pittsburgh, Pa.; James A. Waterworth, St. Louis, Mo. ; W. C. Sturgis, New Haven, Conn. ; Rev. W. M. Grosvenor, Lenox. Mass. and many others.
