I took four gir Is to lunch oue day. Muy and Jane, sweet Bessie and Kate. The garcon menus gave to us, And then he had t o stand and wait. "Just order what you like," I said, For we were out to have a time. Tbey read the menu through and through- This is their order set to rhyme. "Oh, anything will do," said Jane, "And I will take the same," olüined May. "It ïvally matters not," said Kate, And then sweet Bessie had lier say. Pray, leave it not to me," she cried, "For I can eat most everytbinir." And then she laughed a silly laugh. And with her napkin eleaned lier ring. The waiter now impatieüt grew, Much anger in nis eyes did gleam, But in another hour or so They all decided on ice cream.
