BENTON HARBOR, Aug. 13.--The continued dry and hot weather has caused serious damage to peaches. Several thousand baskets have already softened, dried up and dropped from the trees for lack of moisture. Those who have early peaches realize scarcely enough to pay for the freight and the baskets. The blackberry crop should have lasted two more weeks, but all the berries are dried up.
