A Costly Lesson.
BIG RAPIDS, Aug. 12.--A. Woodward, a business man of Manton, was met at the depot Friday by a pretended acquaintance, who later on instructed him in the difference between counterfeit and good bills. An hour after Woodward found his grand army friend had substituted a roll of newspaper slips for between $300 and $400 in bills.
