Parcell Will Not Quit

ÏONIA. Aug. 13.- Warden Varcell will Qot surrender his position as warden ai the state house of correction. The ncw board of control recently appointed Otis Fuller, of St. Johns, to succeed Mr. Parcell, and office seekers have been numerous for some time now. Warden Parcell has taken legal adrice, and Attorney George E. Nichols says it is his opinión that he has an undoubted rig-ht to hold the wardenship until the end of his unexpired term, which would run out in October, 1895. Mr. Nichols says he has thoroughly examined the law and thinks that Warden Parcell has good reason to believe himself the legally appointed warden for four years. What action Mr. Fuller wil] take is not known, buthe will probably apply for a quo warranto or mandamus through the supreme court, where the merits of the case can be gone into.
