The repeal of the Sherman law jiassed the House Monday by a tremendous majority, a magority of both democrats and republicans votïng for the repeal. Already wheat has taken a slight advance and if the Senate will proraptly pass the bill, we may hope to see a still further advance in wheat. A political argument that tells may be found in the great increase in state taxes this year. The republican state administration costs this county alone, in one year over $13,000 more than the democratie Winans administration cost in any one year. Our farmers, when they come to pay their taxes, will be apt to think of this.
