Many of our pioneers are passing over the river. Hen'ry White Hyatt, who first catne to Arm Arbor fifty years ago, died on West Huron street, aged 85 years. He was born in Peekskill, N. Y., and carne to Ann Arbor in 1843, where he went into partnership with Solomon Mann whose daughter he afterwards married. They carried on a general merchantüe business near where Seyler's shoe store now is. After Mr. Manu's death, Mr. Hyatt clerked for Martin Clark in the dry goods business. He removed to Plymouth afterwards and clerked for Mr. May, hi's son-in-law. Returning to Ann Arbor, he spent the rest of his life here in well earned retirement. He was register of deeds in 1875. He was a constant member of the Presbyterian church and had held the office of eider. He and his wife had a large circle of friends. His wife survives him, but no children are living. i;he funeral was held at four o'clock on Monday.
