Deafness Cannot bc Cured by local applications as they cannot reacb the diseased portion of the par. There is only one way tocare deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies. Deafuess is caused by an intlamed condition of the mueous'lining of tlie Eustachian Tube. When this tube is intiamed you have a rumblinsr sounc or imperfect hearing and when it is entirely closed, Deafuess is the result and unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be de stroyed forever; nine cases out of tei are caused by eatarrh, which is noth ing but an inflamed condition of the mucous surfaces.
