Ann Arbor Sued For $5,000

Mrs. Mary Kinney has conimenced suit against the city of Ann Arbor, through Thomas D. Kearney, her at;orney, for $5,000 damages. The decaration was filed last Tuesday. This s a sidewalk damage case, the injuries received being alleged to have been sustained June 10, 1892, on the sidewalk ou east Ann street, opposite the court house. She avers that the sidewalk aiid iron grate at that point had neen out of repair for a long time and ;hat while out marketing she stepped ïnto the hole in the sidewalk and was ;hrown down, only extricating her leg liter niuch difflculty and with the assistance of others and sustained severe injuries. The claim was presented to thecouncil and was not allowed by them.
