M. M. Burgess, who lives east of tfilan, broke his hip while getting off he street car, on Main street, Tuesday evening. He wisbed to take the rain, at the Toledo depot, but did not ignal the street car to stop, and after ie had passed the crossing jumped rom the car. He feil in a heap. The car was stopped and he was picked up and earried into Dr. Kapp's, when it vas found that he had broken his hip. Mr. Burgess had been suffering witfa paralysis, and did not have the best ontrol of his limbs. Ile said right after the accident that no one was to blauie for it but himself.
