Wm. Rehfuss and wife started Wednesday for Chicago. A great many from this place attended the Hillsdale fair last week. Mrs. H. Stark who has been ill for the past week is slowly recovering. N. Senger and Edwin English are spending the week in the Whit City. Master Donald Murphy, of De troit, is visiting his uncle, Mr. ] Kelly. The rebuilding of a new flume o the W. Holt roller mili is pro gressing slowly. Mrs. Philip Frank and son Roy, of Nashville, are visiting her brotíier, Dr. F. A. Kotts. Mr. Schultze, the new miller, moved his family from Adrián to this place last week. Mrs. Nate Schmid and Mrs. H. Kirchhofer spent a few days visiting relacives in Ann Arbor. Miss Nettie Taylor, who is teaching in the Grass Lake central school, spent Sunday with her parents. Mrs. A. S. Spencer, Mrs. A. Denison and Miss Florence Kussell, are visitors at the World's Fair this week. . Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Fausel, and Mr. and Mrs. Kirchgessner, left last Wednesday for Chicago to view the sights at the fair. The Alpha Sigma held a meeting at the Union school chapel las Monday evening, and a very ínter est program was carried out. Fred Spaford is acting as cashier of the People's bank, during the absence of C. W. Case, who is visiting theWorld's Fair for the second time. He was accompanied by his son Rolland.
