Mrs. Miner Hause is quite ill. Wm. Whalev jr. , is seriously ill. Mrs. Wm. Whitmarsh spent Sunday in Ann Arbor. Chas. Schmidt and family spent Sunday in Ypsilanti. Mrs. Alva Dexter vïsit'ed Ypsilanti the first of the week. A good deal of hickoty ín Milan and vicinity this year. E.Hinckley and wife returned from Chicago, Saturday night. C. Shannon and wife, of Chicago, are visiting Milan relatives. Prof. Stanly, of Ypsilanti, called on Milan friends Thursday. Will Barnes and wife returned from the White City, Friday. B. Odell, of Vpsilanti, gave his Milan friends a cali Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Dexter visited Ypsilanti friends Saturday. Wilmer Butler and wife have returned to their home in Detroit. Rev. G. E. Sloan and family left for Blissfield, Saturday morning. A. J. Jackson and wife are visiting friends in Durand this week. Will Trimble, of Detroit, is the guest of his mother, Mrs. T. T. Lacy. Two lectures were delivered at the Union church last week by an expriest. Rev. Mr. Yager, the new M. E. pastor, is deep in the merits of house settling. Mr. Marmilsky and family are moving into D. Case's house on VVilcox street. Fuller Dexter and family are moving into their house on West Main street this week. S. H. Ford is in Mooreville, selling goods for his brother who is doing the White City. Mrs. Clark went to Detroit the last of the week and purchased'a fine lot of millinery. Mrs. Warren and daughter, of Detroit, was the guest of Mrs. H. J. Zimmerman, Thursday. Mr. Remmington, of Weston, is the guest of his daughter, Mrs. Chapín for a few weeks. The Kelly and Bermaid comedians drew a full house Thursday evening, their music was extra good. Rev. f. O. Heek and family have remmed to Milán after a two weeks sojourn at Chicago and other points. The Presbyterian Jadíes wil! hold their tea social at Mrs. Geo. Taylor, residence, on Cöunty street, Tuesday afternoon. The Baptist ladies will open their fair, Friday of this week and will hold it two days, at the Blackmer block on Main street. Editor Smith of the Milan Leader, has a fine new book store and printing office combined at the Ford block, on Main street. The Daughters of Rebekah will hold their tea social on West Main street, at the residence of Mrs. Wm. Whalay's sr., Wednesday evening. Three young men who had burglar tools were arrested on suspicion one day last week, but they were freed in a short time and have gone henee to some new fields.
