A Switch Was Open

Chesanincí Oct. 10.- The southbound exprese on the Michigan Central leaving Saginaw at 8 o'clock Weduesday evening, ran into a freight train at Chesaning at 9 o'clock about 30 Tods north of the depot. The ertfrine, tender and baggage and expresa care were thrown from the track and badly wrecked, the cars beingpüed man y f eet high on the track. The engineer, baggageman and express agent were all injured, but how eeriously is uot kuown. The four passenger coaches and sleeper did not leave the track. It is reported that a Bwitch had been left open and the passenger train collided with the freight.
