Grand Rapids, Oct. 19.- Williain Monroe, a highly respected citizen of easnovia, left that yillage vvith $300 in his possessiou to visit this city during the Maocabee review. It was suuposed that he had deposited the money in a local bank and had gone to the world's fair, bnt no trace of either man or money can be found. His friends are greatly alariued, feariug foul play. He was 74 years oíd and a uensioner of the rebellion.
