Miss Emma E. Bower is ia Port Huron. Mayor Thompson was in Lansing Tuesday. Fred Hyde left Wednesday evening for Chicago. J. B. Bent has been in Chicago part of this week. Mrs. E. J. Slimmer returned from Chicago Tuesday. Mrs. John Grant, of Manistee, is visiting in the city. Miss Eliza C. Bird has returned from St. Paul, Minn. Mrs. C. M. Cobern is visiting her parents in Cleveland. Mrs. F. A. Howlett has returned from a visit in Jackson. Herman Hutzel and son returned from Chicago yesterday. The Gesang Verein Lyra, will soon begin rehearsing Pinafore. Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Frueauff returned from Chicago, Monday. Mrs. John Maynard returned Monday from a visit in Detroit. Frank Dunlavy and Leonard Nixon returned from Chicago Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Ross witnessed the close of the Chicago fair. Mrs. Treadwell, of East Saginaw, is visiting her parents on DivisiĆ³n st. Mrs. Bailey, of North Dakota, is visiting her cousin, Mrs. M. Murphy. A. D. Seyler, spent a couple of days the first of the week in Detroit. Rev. C. Hein, of Detroit, visited his brother, Rev. Max Hein, this week. Louis Rehberg, of Detroit, has been visiting his brother, Ernest Rehberg. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Greber, of Finlay, Ohio, are visiting at Harvey Cornwell's. George H. Snow, state editor of the Detroit Evening News, was in the city Sunday. Miss Harriet E. Sessions, of Welbraham, Mass., is visiting her cousin, J. Q, A. Sessions. Mrs. Harriet M. Waite and son Erskine Waite, of Rahway, N. J., are visiting Mrs. Sarah C. Beakes. Fred Avery, of West Superior, and Mrs. Dr. Taylor, of Mt. Clemens, visited old friends here las week. Mrs. James H. Magoffin and Mrs Carrie M. Humphrey, of Saginaw have been visiting Mrs. Charles S Millen this week. Mrs. Sarah Fletcher, of San Francisco, Cal., has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Lizzie Bowdish, ha gone to Minneapolis.
