The growhig wheat is looking wel!. Country roads have been very good tliis fall. A good deal of fall plowing bas been done tbis season. A large amount of celery has been raised on the big marsh tliis year. It has not all been secured yet. Cider niaking has closed for the year. There has uot been so much made as usual on account of the scarcity of apples. Farmeis are about through with taking care of their corn. It bas been a good fall to secure the corn, which is a tair erop. The Pittsfleld Union Sunday school closed the latter part of October for the season. The attendance has been very good. Messrs. Nowlins have started Work in their lumber camp, and w-e also putting up buildings to accommodate themselves and outtit.
