The September electicm for members of the board of education at Grand Rapids, one great center for furniture making in this country, resulted in the choice of two of the four women who were nominated. Dr. Louise Andrus received every vote in her ward except two. Mrs. R. L. Andrews was elected from the Fourth ward in place of an admirable trustee, Mr. G. W.
