Ilugh McCabe was in Chelsea Wednesday. Byron Hopkins was a Chelsea visitor Tuesday. James Lyman was in Detroit last Saturday. James Hall, of Putnam, spent Friday here. Mrs. G. Lutzer entertained her sister over Sunday. J. Hughes and family wer8 Howell visitors Monday. T. Snay will soon open a blacksinith sbop in this village. Burt Carpenter is home f rom his visit in Ann Arbor. Wm. Benz was with friends in Pinckney, Tuesday. Mr: Thompson, of Lima, was here on business, Monday. James Walsh, of Podunk, made us a short cali last Friday. II. L. Stoup, of Ipsilanti, is the guest of nis daughter. Miss Hattie Lucas was home from her schooi over Sunday. Art Flintoft, of Pettysville, visited his cousins last Sunday. J. V. N. Gregory has purchased L. D. Alley's flne trotting horse. Frank Pratt will move his family to our village in the near future. Dr. Honey has purchased the Britton lot and will erect a fine residence. Mrs. E. Campbell has been entertaining her sister the past few days. Mrs. J. Boyden and Mrs. John : Bell visited in Ann Arbor last : day. Mr. and Mrs. Fuller, of Lyndon, spent Sunday and Monday with friends her e. Messrs. L. and V. Cbamberlain were in Finckney on business the h'rst of the week. James and ïom Bell spent the first of the week with their cousins in North Webster. Wm. Kiltz and son, of Ann Arbor, spent several da.vs of the past week in this place. Miss Mattie Palmer started last Friday for Milwaukee, Wis., to spend a few weeks. Mr. and Mis. B. Hudson, of Jackson, are soon to move in Wm. Gregory's tenant house. Misses Mamie Murdock, Ella Day and Anna Whittaker visited Mooreville recently. The people of St. Joseph church will give au entertainment at the opera house, Nov. 30. Will Taylor and Lonie Flintoft spent Saturday and Sunday with their uncle and aunt at Northfleld. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Queal and granddaughter have gone to spend the winter in the sunny south. Mis. L. Taylor left the last of the , week for a few weeks' stay with i tives at Stockbri ige and vicinity. Mrs. M. Vernam has returned home : after aeveral weeks' visit with her daughter and other relatives in Pennsylvania. Union Thanksgiving services will be held in the M. E. church this year at the hour for morning service, Rev. F. M. White oiüciating. The wedding of Miss Kate Krause and Mr. Samuel Davis took place Wednesday evening, Nov. 22, 1893. Both are well known in this place, lhey will reside on Ann Arbor st.
